Pre And Post Clearance Documentation Assistance

In India, certain documents are needed for import & export customs clearance.

Customs Departments are the government’s appointed authority for enforcing import and export policies, collecting customs duties, and facilitating persons, products, and cargo movement into and out of the country.

Every year, each country publishes its Foreign Trade Policy, which outlines the conditions under which products and services may be exported or imported. Customs departments carry out the policy’s provisions through customs laws, legislation, and tariffs. Many countries can allow imports without restrictions, while others may require licenses. Many products are also listed as being prohibited from importation and entry into the country. Customs clearance is required for all goods imported into the country. This includes products brought in as personal effects as well as items imported by trade and business establishments, such as government and defense agencies. Prior to the goods being issued by Customs, the required stipulated duties must be paid.

Customs Clearance and Imports:

Customs clearance services are also provided by freight forwarders who coordinate international transportation. Customs brokerage is the term for this operation.

Preparing and submitting the paperwork required for export or import into the country, representing clients during a customs inspection, assessment, and payment of duty, and obtaining cargo and documents from customs after clearance are all part of customs clearance work.

The following are some of the documents needed for customs clearance:

Exports Documentation:
Purchase order from buyer, sales invoice, packing list, shipping bill, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin, and any other specific documents as requested by the buyer, or as required by financial institutions or LC terms, or as required by importing country regulations.

Imports Documentation:
