For example, if cargo is transported directly from India to the United States East Coast, the transit time could be about 24 days. However, if the goods are transported as a transshipment between two Indian cities (for example, from Chennai to New Delhi) and then must wait for another vessel before being transported to the United States, transit time could take up to 30 days.
